does it need to be jailbroken in order to do this? or what is the difference if you download a free app from itunes? i downloaded one and i cant put it in my iphone =((( helpp!!

I am using MacBook, I wanted to download apps from apptrackr to my iTunes and then onto my iPod Touch (2G 3.1.3, Spirit JB) so I downloaded an app to my computer and it went to my downloads folder. I went into the folder and clicked on the app that I downloaded, it then opened and transferred it into iTunes very quickly I then synced my iPod and it started to transfer the app onto my iPod but then after it was done an error ( 0xE8008001) popped up and it then did not download the file. Any help?

@540sk8er you need appsync 3.1 on your ipod, from cydia

omggggg when i sync it is says there is a problem and there is like a unknow genre!!!!!!!!! help

there isnt anything you can do about the genre, but, you have to make sure your device is jailbroken and has the latest AppSync installed from cydia

when i try sync somthing to my ipod 4g it says doawnload was not copyd cuz this cannot be play on this ipod but all works on 2g ipod plz help
