Testimonial from a gay man who is involved with the ManKind Project. MKP welcomes men from all walks of life. We are non-profit and not affiliated with any religious practice. You are welcome to bring your beliefs to the table.
My daughter used to tell me that I was homophobic. She was right. Gay men were different from me. I was threatened by them. So I avoided them, judged them, hated them. Then I met men just like me in MKP. They shared my fears, they'd had rocky relationships, they worshiped the same God. The only difference was their sexuality. And once I got to know these men, that seemed pretty irrelevant. It feels better to love men than to fear them.
I am a straight, active Christian. I am in an I-Group with all different types of men: gay, straight, Jewish, agnostic, Catholic, etc. These labels do not matter to us: we are there to challenge & support each other. These men of different labels have made an incalculable improvement in my marriage & parenting. Keep up the good work getting the truth out about MKP & the NWTA!
