No, 1997 is correct. I remember because I would see this commercial in my sophomore year science class while the TV was on, which was in 1997.

I think there was a longer version of this commercial where they say something how they "want Velveeta Shells and Cheese" before going into the chorus. Does anyone know where it can be found?
