@naowx09 they are relative major and minor, all major scales have a relative minor on the 6th scale degree.

@JH0217 from what i know, the C major scale is the same as the A minor scale but different roots. it depends on the progression to whether u insert the major or minor scale. technically in this case, playing the A minor scale over the C major root sounds happier and more fitting. i might be wrong tho...

im really not sure how to learn stuff like this ie how a A minor works over a C majour without going into too much theory. Think i will probably have to.
