This sequel of the Aussie Refuse Trucks series is based on HEIL's Formula 4000 rear loader, a popular body which can be found on both residential streets and in commercial and industrial areas. They are fast, pack great loads and are very operator friendly.

Originally we received our HEIL bodies from the US, but now they are imported from Scotland. In addition to the Formula 4000, the Euro PowerTrak is quite a popular RL here in Australia and the Euro Half/Pack FL bodies are also being distributed.

The idea of this series is to provide an outline of the different brands of waste compactor bodies used in Australia. The series also includes:
- MacDonald Johnston
- Superior PAK Waste Equipment
- Compaction Systems
- Richards Compactors
- Garwood International

I hope you enjoy the video and pictures, all ratings and comments are highly appreciated, be sure to check out the other videos related to this series.

  • Why?

  • garbage truck montage on youtube well i never

  • Love the pics of the ejector plate muscle shown in its telescoping stages very nice.I allways wondered how they make those hydrolic cyclinders to work like they do.The old EZPak from the 1960s had that type way back then too.Excelent as allways the video...paul

  • I have finished restoring all the photo albums at CRT, which may help illustrate the differences between Mk.3-4-5

  • Abbreviations! PTC looks like a twin with the 2R - tailgate especially! Thanx for that info!

  • Now for the coup-de-gras, a variant that preceded the USA PTC circa 1999-2000 was also called Big Bite, but has nothing to do with the UK Big Bite, which, is in actuality a Mark V. There are more branches in this tree, but this covers the basic geneology... :-)

  • Sorrry for the slow reply...The USA Mk V is no longer sold her, but was the same as the UK Jack Allen/Heil Big Bite. It was replaced in the USA by the Formula 5000 (F5000), which used to be the Gar Wood 900 and is also the same as the Euro FAUN Powerpress. The Power Trak Commercial (PTC) is a recent entry in the USA and is basically a slide-sweep 2R style packer.
