He was sitting in the first row obviously as a guest of honour."Current" information about Msgr. Ratzinger you will find at Wikipedia but in German language only...

If you saw another video of a normal teacher in the 60's this would be the case, but because he is the Popes brother you attack him! I am right because from this subject you have jumped onto Pope Benedict! the best Pope we will ever have! You will see when he is gone what a jewel we had!

Get real, don't be a prat and realize these so called celibate men are not what they seem. This present Pope has done so much damage to the church it "deifies" (spelling correct!!!!!!) description. @michaelmorley61 The only sick one is you! Slapping students was common practice back then!! It's like you are calling the the people who lived in the 1700's scum bags for wearing wigs, that was common practise. Today we can't imagine it but back then every teacher nearly hit their students, I don't see why such a hype is made because of course they want to attack the Pope as usual. When in 1980 hitting students became illegal Msgr georg said he was the first one to agree, as he hated it.

Nothing- almost all ended the school normally. It is only a campaign against the pope.

He did it in every common practice in the morning. Probably to notice progress or problems of the singers. I never had the heart to ask him ;o)
