Fairfield Hills is an old psychiatric hospital in Newtown Connecticut that shut down in 1995. Treatments such as shock therapy and frontal lobotomies were performed, and many unusual deaths were documented. Rumors of abuse and cruelty were also reported. Today, part of the campus is still in use by the town, however, most of the buildings remain as they did years ago. It is believed to be one of the most haunted places in the country.

The first house we entered is the Canaan house, which according to one of the security guards, is the most haunted. Immediately after entering, the video camera shut off for no reason... We ventured a little further and I tried turning it on several more times only to have it turn off again within seconds. (My battery was fully charged).

After, we entered the Litchfield House, which is currently undergoing construction. We could not locate the tunnel entrance, probably due to all the construction. Despite the fact that it was still light out, it was nearly pitch black inside the house so sorry for the lighting.

Video was recorded with a Canon EOS Rebel T2i.

UPDATE: The Litchfield House is now completely knocked down.

  • @pahriia yeah, it's actually a park i think, with a youth center and town hall in it. a lot of people walk there dogs around there and stuff. you just have to stay 15 feet away from the buildings that aren't in use. but the litchfield house is now demolished.
