ADE 2009: Part 2 DJsounds at Amsterdam Dance Event (part 2/2)

DJsounds is back with more footage from this year's ADE, the 14th international conference and festival for EDM. This time around interviews feature Defected Records' boss Simon Dunmore and Wave Music audiophile François K.

Meanwhile, club footage comes from two top-drawer Dutch talents. Firstly from Sander Kleinenberg's This Is Our Night album and DVJ showcase, held at Melkweg. Then from the hot-fingered digital turntablist Laidback Luke's explosive Stealth Live! showdown, where he used 'n' abused the new CDJ-2000s, at Jimmy Woo.

ADE has grown massively since it first started out in 1996, and now attracts visitors from all corners of the globe. And, sure enough, 2009's numbers were bigger than ever, with an estimated 90,000 music heads in attendance overall, and conference delegate tickets selling out weeks before the event took place.

Guys the real industry standard for DJs and producers is 24bit WAV.

Good luck finding FLAC or OGG of whatever music you want to play

I really do agree with Francois in saying that compressed mp3s are truly an approximation of the actual audio itself

He's such a direct honest person, Liten up MP3 320Kbps they they suck... believe it or not but ur just losing great amounts of signals, i dont say 320kbps sounds shit but Flac and lossless audio is the time where ppl should be playing them already..cheers tnx for the vid. francois
