Yay, back after some absence. I spent the last few years in my dark basement making music (well, some hours at least) and now i will upload some of my newer stuff.

I still do Hip Hop Beats, Drum and Bass, some kinds of Techno etc. etc. Right now im having great fun doing some Dubstep Remixes.

So heres one of them: A Remix of Keri Hilsons Famous "I Like".

Made in Propellerhead Record, no Loops or presets used.

Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Update:
Some of you asked for a download-link, so here you go!

  • @ninpou21 Thanks, and your welcome. :)

  • Diggin this man, you're on the right track... it sounds like you're drawing the automation of the lfo to make the wobbles, is that correct? have you ever tried recording the bass with different lfo velocities (and other parametres) and then chopped the tracks up and laid them out as audio samples? makes the bass sound a lot tighter IMO. Easier to do as well. You should try it out.

And btw do you think you could hook me up with the acapella? I think I might make a funky house tune out of it =)

  • @schizoidchimp Thanks m8!

Yes, im was drawing the lfo automation in this track. Thats a good idea with that sampling! Ill try that sometimes. :)

Unfortunately i dont have an acapella... i just filtered the rest with the help of some equalizing. :(

  • I don't listen to this kind of remix often, but I kind of missed actual deeper drops in the bassline & overall more variation in this. I mean, there *is* no doubt bass & everything, but I got a bit tired listening to the same scheme again & again. I don't mean this as an offence at all - and to be honest, although this was a fun track for 1-2 times, the repetitiveness of the original song sure plays an important part here. Also I prefer a cleaner bass over those with added distortion/chopping.

  • @werewindwolf Thank you for your honest and detailed opinion! :) I feel the same about the things youve said - but keep in mind that this track has been uploaded exactly one year ago. i still have got much to learn, but one year ago i had even more in front of me. ;)
