'When the water falls' is not as well known as some of their songs like 'Shine', 'December', 'Better Now', but it is a really great song and my favorite from Collective Soul.. a softer sound with pics of water, clouds, and sunsets.

Lead Singer Ed Roland said he got the inspiration to write this song after stopping at Gas Station/Party store while they were on tour and he saw this little girl tugging on her Mom's dress asking her "Where does the sun go when it rains?".

He said he went back on the bus and wrote this song.

Cool how shit like that happens.

It seems like when Collective Soul did this, they might have had bands like Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket in mind.....as this song delves into that kind of sound. Great song.
