I snorkeled with this school of tang in approx. 8' of water during our first snorkel at Mahoe Bay, May 15, 2010, late morning. It never ceases to amaze me how a school of 100+ fish can swim together, almost as one organism. In the middle of this clip, I thought I saw a barracuda out of the corner of my eye, and briefly shifted the camera to the left. My brother, Casey, and I were snorkeling with a large school of tang in Mahoe a few years ago when it seemed like an explosion suddenly shattered the school in hundreds of directions at once! Out of the corner of our eye, we saw a barracuda quickly swimming off with a tang in its mouth. Mahoe Bay Snorkeling photos:
