Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) is fighting to protect the social safety net that keeps food on the table for as many as eight million Americans struggling in the current economy. Kucinich spoke on the House floor tonight in support of a motion by Representative Mike Michaud (D-ME) that would remove a provision of H.R. 3630: the Temporary Payroll Tax Cut Continuation Act of 2011 that would weaken the unemployment insurance program.

It would appear that Mr. Kucinich is the last man in the senate still fighting for liberty and the American way of life. I'm glad he's still fighting the fight, but it's sad to see that he is the only one left.
