Rio Run Cycle Test

I have been working on this simple 9 frame animation for weeks, believe it or not. First I had to do the sketch...thankfully that only took one day. Then the outline, which took about three...the foreground, that was actually pretty simple as I didn't have to put much detail in it, as it was going to be blurred...the background doesn't actually move but I noticed, while watching it, the eye plays tricks on you and makes it seem like its slowly moving. And yes, I know the dust clouds are way off. But this was my first time drawing them. I just finished it, and am already critiquing the hell out of this so I can do it better next time.

God I can't wait until the storyboard's finished, this cartoon series is gonna be so fun. Hard, but fun. Hope you enjoyed the animation :D I might add on to it later. More special effects, yo?

I know. This animation was done before I took 2D animation in college. It's an older one.

xD No... he doesn't have any ears.

He's a Terravian... a mix between a bird and a canine. Don't expect to see any more of these around, though, the idea I was embarking on kind of got messily murdered.

@Kryodrache I hate to tell you this, but birds actually do have ears, just not big ones like dogs.

I am aware that birds have auditory systems, yes. This does not necessarily mean the creature above has ears like a dog or cat. He is not deaf, nor do I think birds are deaf. How else would an owl hear a mouse burp from the opposite side of a meadow at night? Plus,the more times I see this animation the more horrible it appears to me. sooo old...

TIP: This could just be my eyes but the ground appears to move significantly faster than the creature itself.

@Kryodrache It's amazing but wolves normally stretch out a bit more the wolf's back arches onto itself although it wouldn't if it was a tiny bit longer but apart from that AMAZING
