This is a an african festival and ghana to be precise. This was celebrated in a town called Agona Nyakrom in Ghana. The celebrations starts on every 1st of August every year.
WOW just like my native Suriname(South America)......the clothing design.....but I can see how we got the western, Indian, Indonesian, Jewish, Asian & Amazonian Influences in our mostly African origin Music !.......Just Beautiful !!!
The Flagbearer dancer is called "Frankaatunyi". They are the principal dancers for the Asafo companies. They undergo special training to be able to execute this culturally relevant dance. I can see that the first dancer did not really have the flair to dance. He needs extra training. Probably, he should go to Mankessim and look for Otuakwan Alhassan for more training in asafo dancing.
