Singing at the Lobby (Ikaw Song)

We were blessed that the Bataan Peninsula State University accepted our invitation to sing at our Simbang Gabi last December 19, 2009. We were very excited for all the churchgoers to see their performance that night. Unfortunately, the chorale was a bit late, things didn't go as planned, and soon right after the mass people left and our hope of a great performance faded.

Nevertheless, the chorale with all its might sang their hearts away and showed the few guests who was there and each and every staff who can hear their voices, the magic that this choir was able to give through their singing.

It will be wrong for us not to share this wonderful feeling to the people. The management of Lighthouse was determined to do an encore performance the next day. We invited all 36 members of the choral to stay for the night. We are also helping the group in their effort to raise Php 1 Million for the group to be able to participate in the 2010 Busan Choral Festival and Competition at Busan, South Korea.

This video was taken the next morning. Due to the excitement of that nights performance, the management of Lighthouse got this idea of a "Flash-mob" version with a choral group. We did a total of two (2) performances. The guests checking in that day had a blast, and so did everyone else. It was purely magical!

That night, as expected, more than a hundred people saw and heard their performance. It was an amazing sight. The chorale even received a generous donation from the crowd. But the most important of all, was the feeling that they impart to the audience, and for a moment there was pure peace.

On a different perspective, what happened on those two days at The Lighthouse was faith. In this Lenten Season we like to share with you this. Things may go wrong, (The coral being late, people missing the first performance) but if you keep the faith and just focus on the good things (helping the choir, sharing the music to the people), magic happens (this video and hopefully more donations for the group :-) )... I hope that this Christmas all of us will just forget all our worries and just look at things differently... and you will see that there is good in everything. Believe!
