Beast I was always wondering how to get that stup HDCP off the signal was thinking about getting the Matrox Max

Just to let everyone know who's thinking of replicating this setup, it does bypass HDCP but only allows 720p, the same resolution as component cables so if you're looking for a better resolution for your videos this isn't the way to go. Most people associate HDMI with 1080p. I made the mistake of thinking this way and making the purchases only to find out I have the same res as my component cables.

@Mailorder lol Well let me know how it goes.

@iNvRG Thanks again for your reply! I will take the plunge and try Monoprice's adapter, haha! Of course, I am prepared for it to fail in the worst case scenario. Thanks again : )

@InternetKing107 There is a capture card that just came out that claims to do 1080p60 but I forgot who makes it. Well 1080p30 is just 1080p at 30 frams per seconds which doesn't work on PS3 or 360 since both systems output it's 1080p at 60 FPS. The black magic needs to have the same settings are the output of the console.
I understand that the adapter's output is HDMI going to the capture card, but I noticed you also use the optical out (for the Triton) and coaxial out. Are those extra devices that are not directly related to the capture set up?

@Mailorder Yea I have an optical cable from my PS3 to the converter so I can encode the Audio onto the HDMI output but the output on the converter just passes that optical signal so I connect that end to my Trittons so I can have sound through my headset. I don't use the coaxial because I don't have any need to. The only thing I didn't show in this video was a HDMI splitter I bought after I made this because my capture card's HDMI output wasn't working right

@Mailorder The out put on my capture card was cutting a few millimeters off the picture on my TV so I run a splitter right from my PS3 to the converter. If I have time tomorrow I'm going to make an update video.
