Can someone please tell me what the window with the light mean?

notice the window with the light on is in the same place through the whole video

@AliaSparrow Alright, do me a favor...tell me where the servant is at in the scene? Where can I see him? What second marker is he clearly visible at? Why didn't he walk up to the body? Does the servant just stay in the room at night and watch him sleep?

@Berengier817 A servant heard it. He was standing somewhere at the side of the room watching. Also, when they say "He died alone" they mean he died with no loved ones at his side.

I don't know.. it is kind of cool to watch this scene without the music. The best movie's story can be told without sound.

Wait, he whispers "Rosebud" then drops the snow globe, breaking it, which alerts the nurse to come into the room and find him dead. So how the hell did anyone know he said Rosebud? No one was around. It's the old saying "If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise?" No one heard him say it. The opening scene contains a plot hole for the basis of the entire film.
