Obama look-alike Indonesian Ilham Anas states a commitment to attend the UN Copenhagen Climate Summit at climate change impacts and causes exhibition in the Change(s) Caravan (http://www.change.greenpeace.org.ph) at a university in Chacheongsoa Province, around 100 kms North of Bangkok. The activity is part of the Greenpeace Chang(e) Caravan, a 15-day peoples caravan for change with elephants rehabilitated by the Thai Elephant Research and Conservation Fund (TERF), which will pass through climate change impacted areas of Thailand and end on September 27, a day before the start of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change intercessional meeting in the capital. Greenpeace is calling on world leaders, particularly US President Barack Obama, for an ambitious, fair and binding global climate treaty, and for funds for mitigation and adaptation from developed to developing countries, starting with funds to protect forests in Southeast Asia, home to 20% of all known species of plants and animals, including the Asian Elephant (chang is Thai).
