David and Barbara Hammond show how they have adapted their house with available technologies to make it more ecologically sustainable in Osney Island, West Oxford.
This is one of twelve films made by film maker Marko Wilkinson for Modern Art Oxford's "Oxford 2015" exhibition. In each film an Oxford resident talks about how the City's built environment effects their life, and how they would like to see it change by 2015. The films were made in 2005.

Bloody Shame on the RIBA and all Architects in the UK ... Architecture for Whites Only.

Even if one gets a Job in an all-white architect's office in the UK, black architects will not be promoted or encouraged to climb any higher, and soon they will find themselves out of a job, as they will be the first to be fired in a downturn ... The white folkes will be kept and promoted later. Black architects are made to feel inferior, and also made aware that they don't have any future in the practice or office where they so diligently worked.

Due to the so called 'Glass Ceiling' imposed on women and black architects in the UK ... UK architecture's glaring ethnic imbalance, where only two per cent 2% of the UK's practicing architects come from black and ethnic backgrounds Black architects just don't get the jobs in the UK ... Only 12 per cent of architects are women.
