The single idea that hip hop is only supposed to be a black thing is so damn ignorant and the opposite of what hip hop was made to do. hip hop was being born out of poverty and a need to find a voice in the bronx( among other places over time) **primarily by minorities. But nevertheless it was more than just one race responsible for the rise of hip hop,,just as more than one race is responsible for its commercial fall from grace.
