Beginning at dawn on D-Day, Allied reconnaissance planes flew up and down the coast every hour on the hour, photographing the largest invasion in history.
By the end of the day, a visual record unlike any other was logged on film. As soon as the invasion ended, however, these images were lost. Until now.
These never-before-seen images give a first hand account of D-Day from the air as they unfolded.

Commanding Officer E. Company 2nd Battalion 506th Parachute Regiment 101st Airborne Division aka the Band of Brothers from D-Day through Operation: Market Garden, winner of the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions at Brecore Mannor. Read the book Band of Brothers or watch the movie, or read Winter's biography to find out more

In 01:33 putting a Steilhandgranate into the gun to blow it up is not a goof. In Band of Brothers it's stated that they had explosives but no fuses so Winters just found some grenades to set them off.
