Superb band as well as vocalist Lizz Wright! I have never heard her sing in another language; she is one of my favorite vocalists of all time. Thanks for posting the performance. :)

Kip Hanrahan's work is definitely akin to a Director on a set. He has very firm ideas of what he is doing and has a social conscience to boot. I have been a fan since I came across Vertical's Currency in the late 80's. Sets a groove and layers it nicely with very talented musicians. Most of his stuff is what I would call sexy, groove laden jazz with vocals that tell a story or leave you with a certain feeling. I have never seen any videos by him in the past so this is treat albeit truncated.
