on the top of the bars it should be wraped towards you so it will not undo when you grip the tops , also you should cut it nice and neatly at an angle so the end is smooth and flawles without a big lump like that and you don't have to tape the bars at the end just the tape, it looks so neat and profesional
Remember - you want the tape to TIGHTEN as you ride, not LOOSEN. And the tape edge overlaps to be AWAY from your natural push direction. Add a sticky layer to keep the tape on the bars if you crash - doublebacked electrical tape. Last, diagonal cut the end opposite what you did - this provides a clean, flush end to the wrap.
