Khat is most likely an experimental branch of the XO. They probably wanted to try different shit and it cant be a newcoming artist coz most of the videos recorded demand a huge investment.

Not to burst anyones khat boner but it appears the artist is more of a video dj than a music or video maker. All of "their" tracks are either instrumentals or straight rips from other artists songs. Videos like "the flooding" are slowed down, edited versions of other artists' music videos (the flooding = royksopp- what else is there?) It wouldn't be such a problem if they weren't lying about being affiliated with the Weeknd or gave credit to any of the artist involved.

@tjazswmr Ah I see what you meant now. Unfortunately we may never know who was behind the video, as Khat doesn't seem to feel it's necessary to give them credit. Who knows, it could be Khat editing the videos and someone else editing the tracks.

@tjazswmr Khat has stated on his facebook page, after being outted by a blog that he is not on XO and the only affiliation he has with them are two demos. I find this to be different from artists such as Girl talk because he is taking whole tracks from other artists, making some edits, and claiming them as his own, instead of just taking samples.

@meghano1989 Yeah, it's pretty obvious. They're apparently hooked up with the XO crew out of Toronto so I'm pretty sure the music is with permission (As DropxLife and LightxSome is out of the same block of artists). I know it's not 100% original but neither is Girl Talk or Hood Internet and I still respect the collage effect in regards to audio and visual composition.
