Just a demonstration of a all stock 5.3 with the 4l60E trans 10-85 mph take off. I wanted a reference point before I started modding it. Plans are Nelson Tune, 4.10 gears, and maybe a LS1 hot cam with a new stall converter if i dont ditch the 5.3 for somthing biggar.

  • yes most people just go by what they hear from other morons. they are the type that will buy anthing as long as it says high performance on it.

  • With a bigger and converter combo, you should notice a huge difference!! Also with the tune of course.

  • what converter, the trail blazer converter?

  • @jameslee522 that is a good one .. if you dont plan on putting a big cam.... or just bolt ons.. if you get a really big stall without a cam like a 3200 or a 3600 its going to kill in gas! and really not needing such high stall!! .. a tb is around 2300-2500 some where there!

  • make it full bolt on first.. if you want you can skip the underdrive pulley well thats my opinion with that cash you could get springs and pushrods then maybe a nice cam like a 220/220 proven for 5.3 .. or if you want a nice proven and really streetable cam get a 212/218

  • why do i always see chevys with "service engine soon" light....

  • you spelled "bigger" wrong in your description. wow.

  • were you listening to Kenny chesney? aha

  • truck hauls, and don't you like all these internet mechanics telling you everything you should do to YOUR truck or whats so good and whats not. lol sometimes it good to get on youtube just for a laugh.

  • @jameslee522 ...stay away from TCI , just tore a up street fighter in my 02 z71, and it wasnt even an oil change old....i would recommend a vigilante

  • check engine light is on

  • Thebabyeata.....wow....I'm not usually one to call others out on youtube, but you really have no clue what you're talking about. It's one thing to not know all there is about a subject, but to give misguided advice is just wrong. A cat-back exhaust has nothing to do with your compression and if you meant back pressure, then you're still wrong. All I'm saying is you need to read up on some forums before giving advice. Your heart was in the right place, but your words were misguided.

  • dosnt look like steping it all da way

  • ma boy all you need is a borla exaust and a k&n cool air induction, the k&N with the black plastic hose. you want plastic because it runs cooler. if your exaust is a single in single out than get the same. dont go single in daul out because then youll lose power and lower your compression

  • Im sayin if you go with a LS1 hot cam, something like a 3200 stall converter would be perfect.
