Pink Panther Teaches Nonduality

A while back, I was sitting in a waiting room listening to an Alan Watts lecture on my iPod. Bored, I glanced up at the TV screen fixed to the wall above me. It was showing the classic Pink Panther episode "The Pink Phink". At that moment, something amazing happened; Watts' words became perfectly juxtaposed with the visual. The storyline of the cartoon was flawlessly in sync with Watt's wisdom.

So, here it is for your viewing pleasure: Pink Panther and his little friend teaching non-duality!

It is true that one can distinguish the truth from the false by comparison. But it certainly is also true that only the truth is true. And that the truth exists of itself, and does not need the false to be the truth.

So white is distinguished from black by comparison, but does not need black in order to exists. If this whole universe were white, it would exist without black. And it wouldn't need even a tiniest dot of black to exists as white. We would only not know it as distinct from black.

That is like saying your teeth hurt, all the time. It is not true since you do not feel it, however you argue that it still exists without the comparison (teeth that do not hurt at all will make your normal teeth feel like hurting all the time).

Truth is defined by actuality, and actuality is, in its nature, in the actual scheme of things surrounding it, in this case, the whole universe, including your mouth.

You can only say the universe would be white because you know what not-white is. The same for truth. Blind people see only darkness but they don't know what darkness is.

Never understood how merely pointing outward or inward would reveal anything that wasn't already apparent... much less what that has to do with awakening/liberation. Awakening is spontaneous and not causally linked to anything imo.

Consciousness cannot exist without contrast or distinction. So ask yourself this how would white know it's white or have any qualities at all. For me the question could be how does an infinite void manifest as distinction or so called separate qualities.
