Winner of the 2004 DNC Video Contest, this commercial produced by Adam Klugman and co-written with Jefferson Smith, marks the beginning of a new day for democratic party brand messaging. Entirely affirmative, specific and unapologetic about the principles which root the party in a proud history, "America's Party" :60 tested extremely well, scoring almost as high with republicans it did with democrats. To date, the DNC has done nothing to disseminate the spot, in spite of winning the contest and its unusually high dial test marks.
