The criticisms of Morikoshi san here are surpring. Rarely do Japanese karateka train for self-defense. Fights are extremely rare. And there are essentially no bouncers in Japan. It does not make sense to hold him to a standard he is not ascribing to. He is practicing a certain type of kumite here, not training for MMA or a street fight. Having worked out with him myself, I can tell you he's damn fast, strong, grounded, and with a thorough knowledge of Okinawan Goju.

whats will all the bad comments, I thought he did very well. He looks fast, you can only fight as things are infront of you, I am a doorman and have been attacked by a multiple of people...trust me it never goes how you plan it and it never happens how you want it to. So people here who are saying things about fighting two people at once have probably never been attacked by multiple people for real. You guys look good to me.

What's the point of doing 2 vs 1 when you do it in the wrong manner? And wtf are you training IOGKF for if not training for real fight??? For show? For competition?? If so then go and join shotokan instead yeh?
