Elinchrom Ranger Quadra Introduction

I wanted something more convenient to assemble and use, recycles fast, and has remote control operation so this was the only option. So far, I'm loving it.

I've found the construction delicate. Guess it's the trade off for being ultra light. I've had to be very careful setting up the heads.

@redpinto Yeah is is no full size Ranger but it's the only thing of it's kind. I really love the weight savings.

@TheiGhoest That of course depends what you want to do with this. It is "only" 400 w/s and some people need more power. When adding light modifiers, you need to add something an adaptor to use Elinchroms excellent modifiers. I think you can do something else for the same amount of money like 2 light 500BXRi kit for indoors.

this light system is awesome. i use it with the d700 and 400Ws are more than enough!!

no problem for studio work or location based. no headache or hassle. comes with built in trigger & controller. and battery lasts forever. haven't yet finished one battery in one shoot. and you get 2 with the set.
