In the real legend, Marian doesn't die and Robin isn't poisoned. In the real story, he shoots one last arrow with his final strength and tells Little John that he wants to be burried where it lands. He dies in Marian's arms. THAT's a better endng.

ps: right now they're not planning a fourth season

I don't care what anyone says, everyone deserves to be happy after the death of their partner. I love Kate and I love Joanne Froggatt and I am BLOODY GLAD she came into season 3. It's the best season for me, so haters can stick it! <333

No, I think the show would have been better and have mor eof a story if he stayed faithful to Marian even though she died, and fought for her. She was the strongest believer that the poor should not be tortured and all that, so he should respect her beliefs and fight for her! This girl is really annoying, ugly and a bad actress. Noone can replace Lucy, I was GUTTED when she left the show and I hate series 3.
