  • Question oh wise Ralfy! What if you moved the entire Makers Mark production operations over to Scotland, distilled, then matured in ex bourbon cask. Would it be called a Single grain Scotch whisky? Just curious!

  • @darencewee

    if all corn/wheat, then yes.

  • Ralfy I'm new to this. I wanted to ask if the bourbon is a single malt or blended. Could you explain to me what is a bourbon?

  • @cohenjulio13

Bourbon is corn spirit or mixed grain, Malts are 100% malted barley.

  • hey ralfy my family loves bullet bourbon would you try it if you havent already

  • @bakedsho

I will look out for it.

    Thx Ralfy!

  • I still have not tried the 46 Markers yet ,it looks good anyways..Soon very soon. The American stuff is more expensive here or just as expensive as the Scotch and Irish brands as far as mid price spirts go..I can get a 750 mill bottle of Tullamore Dew 8 bucks cheaper than a bottle of Makers Mark of the same size, and the Tullamore has traveled 5000 miles more...

  • Good ta see two sophisticated Scots commenting on some good ol' MM spirits.I like a bit of all kinds of whiskys,Scotch,Irish,Rum,etc,.There is good and bad in all , though Scotland and Ireland are the 2 main areas of the maters of distilled spirits. As me being American,it took me a while to see that clearly because of basic provincial ignorance..I only knew what was American and Canadian for a long time, now I realy love Bushmills and I want to try more varieties of Scotch other than JWs Red.
