  • For a short moment I thought those 2 were practising together ! No way. Jimbo is playing vs a dude on his baseline / Mac is at the net.

  • @minastronasse

They practising together, of course ! As they did at the same place, exactly 10 years before....

  • ofcourse mc enroe's volleys are great.

but I love looking connors movements, and driving the balls- I learned a lot from him in my own game

  • Yes, I've plenty of Jimmy's matches, for instance the first one where he lost against Borg (except for their final of 73) with the outstanding moment where Borg lost his temper and hit the ball violently when facing Jimmy at the net to express his spite for the messed match pont, surprinsing Jimmy that much he pointed him with a moving warning finger. I should take time to post, like a lot of others.

  • look at connors' foot work. he's at least 40 here

  • 38 3/4 precisely

  • @rmrooster01 who gives a shit. it's about what works for you, and clearly for Mcenroe it worked. Pat Cash's forehand volley was terrible, and Patick Rafter swung at his voleys all the time. Edbberg's volley is as tectbook as it gets.

  • The God's of Tennis!!

  • i'm so astounded at the depth of mens tennis back in the day tears in my eyes i could name at-least 20 guys of almost equal quality wow, who was the best? well i bet u could argue for the whole lot of them but i'm happy just thinking about how great it was:)

  • connors looks younger!

  • McEnroe had great touch on his volleys, but ugly unorthidox style. He rarely get "eye level" on his volleys, especially low ones. Textbook is Stefan Edberg, Pat Cash, or Patrick Rafter.

  • good point. he's like a cat.
