The Gujarati Association of Victoria, in Australia, organised a Kite Flying Extravaganza on festival day, the 14 January 2012. Kite Flying on this day is celebrated by the Indian community in many cites, towns and villages around the world.
It was a big success and lots of fun for family and friends, a must do next year. This event was held in Jells Park, an outer suburb of Melbourne.
There is no fee to join in the fun, kites and string were for sale, over 400 were sold on the day.....be early to make sure you get yours.
There is no better way to finding peace than sharing ones culture in a fun and safe enviroment with family and friends.
