When I render like an intro it lags like crazy. Any way to fix?

Mmm i know i got new computer with xp, vista was just to slow.Solutions registry cure,systen restore,only have the editor open no other programs.get rid of programs on computer you don,t need.I even when to a drastic step and re installed vista and xp to get things running smoothly.Sony takes a lot of the energy of the computer.
