  • dissolve the baking soda and also add salt and make sure the silver is touching the foil and it should work a lot better

  • this definitely works u just tried it mines been gathering tarnish for over six years so is gonna take a while... thank you for this video

  • @iJEDAlinux should be fine, remember that it is close to impossible to damage a diamond at home

  • how about with sterling silver that has diamonds on it???

  • UPDATE: Since posting this video two years ago I have found that Borax powder works SO MUCH BETTER than baking soda for cleaning silver. If your jewelry is really dirty, powdered Tide works great because it has mild soap along with Borax, in it.. I haven't tried it with Rhodium plating, but it works great with Argentium silver.

  • @hatebank01 - It doesn't work on gold for two reasons that work together. First reason is the process does not "clean"; it changes the chemical makeup of the tarnish back to silver. So if gold got dirty, this won't help much. The other reason is that gold will never tarnish, therefore gold would never require a treatment. IDK where you got the idea this works for gold.

  • WTF!! Have you actually done it on gold?

  • hi..does tis work on rhodium silver too?what abt the pieces of silver tat has rhinestones on?will it blur out the rhinestones?

  • love the music even more... great job thanks 4 the video

  • i add salt to it and it speed up the process by 10mins to 1 mins only, ^^ anyway cool vid
