Patrick Hughes is a young man at Univ. of Louisville who was born blind and crippled and yet now plays the piano beautifully as well as "marches" in the Louisville marching band. This was a piece done during ESPN College Gameday on 12/2/2006.
Note: I am not affiliated with the Hughes family. Just someone who finds their story wonderful.

Patrick, You are my hero. I also play piano and play in band, and I cannot fathom doing it in your situation. And your attitude is amazing. You are a truly inspirational person. your parents are wonderful too, obviously good parenting, and I am impressed at how well he can march you around that field. You guys are and amazing team. thank you for keeping life in perspective.
Patrick, If you check the comments again, please let me know how you work the foot pedal on the piano. I have a friend who is wheel chair bound, and would like to play her piano again, but hasn't figured out how to work the foot pedal. Or if another wheel chair bound person has a solution please post it.
