  • You start slowly, lean against their heads and reward them when they offer even the slightest nudge. If you reward their small efforts, then it will, over time, become the huge boosing effort you seek. Just be cautious though....this trick can be an annoyance if you don't stop it as every time you turn your back, the horse can want to nudge you. I know this is broad, let me know if you would like further information on the training.

  • just wondering if you sell dvd's, if so where would i get one. you are just inspiring.

  • I am going to be working on getting a 3 or 4 DVD set together this winter. I'll be keeping updates to the progress on my 'soon to be revamped' website, as well as putting clips on youtube!

  • I just wanted to say that you are a huge inspiration. I took lessons for 10 years cause I thought that is what people who love horses are supposed to do. I was bashed by the "show people" because the filly I raised was fat and short, and not a very talented jumpers. However she has a personality, doesn't mind having her ears touched, isn't head shy, isn't a tail-clamper, does not spook, and she knows tricks! None of their fancy jumping horses can come close to these things.

  • cool, i'm teaching Rose, gonna get video of us rearing soon, awesome vids...

  • Is it a bad thing to teach my 5 yr. old mare that I ride for jumping and dressage and stuff, how to rear? I have read a lot of articles and it says that it might be a bad thing becasue then they will be doing it regularly when you don't want them too.

  • Beautiful video. Gives us horse lovers so much inspiration. You've made a fantastic achievement training all these horses yourself.
