When Sarah Reinertsen was just seven, her left leg was amputated above the knee because of a tissue defect she had at birth. It took her four years to learn how to run, but once she learned - and got the right kind of artificial leg - she was unstoppable.

Dear Lance, Sorry you had a bad experience with Sarah, but she signed everything and anything anyone wanted her to sign in Kona. She is an inspiration to all women in this sport and a super person.

Another real hero coming from the Iron Man Challenge.
I can't help thinking that the behavior of her parents not picking her up and her coach sending her to play with the wall played a KEY ROLE in building the motivation into her mind that she could beat her disability.
She has done that and much much more than that. Look at what she's turned herself into: a hero.
And what a gorgeous hero she is!

Sarah, very inspirational. Richard Gagne gave me a copy of your book and I'm about 1/2 through it. Can't wait to finish and I hope to get the chance to meet you at some point in the future. Best wishes.

she is a very strong woman she never gives up she showed people that have a disability how to fight it and not give uo on your dream she is a tru hero thanxs sarah ur the best

What a woman! Sarah, you are an inspiration - what tenacity, what dedication, what discipline, but most of all what a belief in yourself and your own ability and capacity. How you have developed your independent will to drive you to achieve - you are truly tougher than the rest. Your strength of character and your very essence radiates and touches hearts to change minds to inspire them to achieve.
