Stanislaw Moniuszko, Zlota Rybka, the Goldfish,Urszula Kryger, art song

A maiden narrates a sorrowful, romantic tale about a lad´s unhappy love for a goldfish. Composed by St. Moniuszko (1819-1872), Poland´s national composer.

The velvet-like, mezzosoprano voice, which so elegantly sings ,belongs to Ursula Kryger. Katarzyna Jankowska accompanies attentively at the piano. Both are Polish artists. 2002.

Urszula Kryger - is one of the best voices in my country, if not the best at the moment.

I attended a few months ago her recital, given in the town I live.

"A Golden Fish" by Moniuszko came to me in her interpretation via... YT - for the first time.
