I have the whole movie but it is on VHS tape, not on DVD. I too have been looking for this movie on DVD (better quality) but have not had much luck.

I saw this when it originally was released in the 40s (yes, I have gray hair). It has always been one of my favorites. It's saved on my Netflix queue for when it should come out on dvd. All I have now is a vhs tape I made when it was on KCET many years ago. It was re-done many times by Fox. Remember "Moon Over Miani" and How to Marry a Millionaire?

Classic Vera Ellen - thanks for posting! This clip is definitely pre-anorexia as evidenced by her well-shaped legs and the pretty roundness of her cheeks. She is not shaped like a boy and actually has a bust in this movie.

Anorexia is a horrible mental illness; one that claims far too many lives.

Vera-Ellen started dancing when she was ten, and in this clip she still looks like a teen. It seems like she still has a little of her 'baby fat' on her face, compare this to how she looks in White Christmas, quite a change ... but then they say she had an eating disorder, so she looked too thin by then.

Beautiful dancing, but I wish they chose somebody else to do the voice over for the singing, its too high pitched compared to Vera's. She is so amazing.

Don't let the cheesy beginning of this clip fool you... the dance sequence is amazing and shows off Vera-Ellen's acrobatic dancing talents extraordinarily!!!!!! She is AMAZING HERE!
