Endoscopic trigger finger release is performed in local anesthesia: thanks to the minimally invasive procedure no stiches or dressing are needed. Patient is allowed to move the finger right after surgery; this allows a faster return to daily, sport and working activities.

  • So far all the videos I've seen involve splitting the tendon sheath, does this cause any ill effects? Is there any way at all to reduce the swelling in the tendon instead?

  • @Laserpico1985

tendon's sheet splitting is reserved for advanced stages of trigger finger: it does not affect functionality of the finger. The swelling of the tendon may be reduced in the inital stages with splinting, drugs and stroids shots

  • What type of blade is that they're using to slice open the sheath around the tendon?

  • @NICKTUBER80

it is a disposable retrograde blade that grasp the pulley and cut it from distal to proximal

  • OMG!!!!!! IM TRAUMATIZED!!!

  • @wowsoad700

    may I ask you why?
