This second clip shows that there is also a tension between the main character Hank and his brother Jacob. From Jacobs reaction we understand he is sick of beeing told by his brother what to do and not. And Hanks response hints that he is aware of this behaviour of his.

This way the scene implies this has happened many times in past, in the backstory. Note that we don't need any detalis of any specific event. Just witnessing this irritation of Jacobs is enough. The screenwriter trusts the audiences abiltiy to get the point, to make the conclusion that there is a prevaling conflict.

Besides showing how backstory influencing the characters can be revealed, this also makes the scene is a good exampel of one of the basic principles of screenwriting : Show, don't tell.
