Dil Ye Dil Deewana - Pardes (1997)

Pardes (1997) is a movie directed by Subhash Ghai with the stars Mahima Chaudhry, Shahrukh Khan, Apoorva Agnihotri, Amrish Puri, Alok Nath and others..

Kishorilal (Amrish Puri) is a wealthy American NRI, who lives in California but emotionally attached to India. He has two sons, Rajiv (Apoorva Agnihotri) and Arjun (Shahrukh Khan), who is adopted.
One day, Kishorilal visits his friend Suraj Dev (Alok Nath) in India and becomes attached to Dev's daughter Ganga (Mahima Chaudhry). He wants to marry his 'westernized' Rajiv with Ganga, in hope that his son will become more Indian with an Indian wife at his side.
Kishorilal sends Rajiv along with Arjun to India and later Ganga gets engaged to Rajiv. The story becomes complicated due to the closeness between Ganga and Arjun, who is not 'westernized' like Rajiv..

The music is by Nadeem-Shravan and the lyrics are by Anand Bakshi.
