  • WTF??

    The waste!!!

All my tax dollars from last year were just turned into smoke and noise!!!

And those brass shells just roll over the side and down to the ocean floor to be a home for a crab!

    Sigh!

Maybe I can claim a tax deduction to GreenPeace or PETA or something environmental for all those brass casings.

  • maybe you could just move to china

  • i was on this piece of shit ship for almost 4 years

  • what years

  • i dont like these new weapons i will always have love for the old powerful cannons like on the USS texas and arizona now thats power thats what we need power like that not a weak one

  • this weapon is more powerful, greater range, more accurate and has several different rounds that can be fired off from it. this little 5 inch much better then the big guns.

  • Hey, clueless- last spring that same 5 inch gun shot over 500 rounds at Somali pirates to keep your waterways clear and safe. The US Navy's marine impact is 50 times less than that of commerical vessels. That "smoke and noise" you're talking about? That's the sound of protecting every one of your interests, so if you want to claim a tax deduction, I sugges Navy & Marine Corps Relief Society. It's a non profit helping sailor and marine families with financial help while their loved one is away.

  • @sae1080 its not brass. its alumminum cased

  • @sae1080 wow you support the greeners, go to china. peta kills animals they have no shelter.

  • To all the people saying the military should recycle spent casings:

Yes, it would save money. But it might cost lives in exchange. Spent casings can only be reused so many times, especially the big ones. A .308 casing, for example, should only be reused about 4 times. After that, the brass expands and may explode on the next use. If I'm waging a war, I want every shot to count. The more you use something, the less efficient and reliable it becomes. The military can afford new brass.

  • OK I don't want to sound all "save the planet" and such like but why don't they reuse the shell casings, it dose seem a bit of a waste.

  • @ouimettem It's an attempt sire, to dampen noise. I know it sounds silly but there is a damage control repair party below. Trust me if you have ever been below a gun mount when firing the noise is already deafening. Also improves relations between the GMGs and the BMs. After all someone also has to touch up topside after this excersize.

  • @nuclearthreat545 Not brass sire. Anodized/hardend aluminum,

  • Are those pallets there to cushion the shells? If so I'm laughing because only two actually hit the pallets and like 3 hit in the tiny gap between two of them.

  • Why dont they recapture those spent shells? Seriously....just recycle the damn things and save money.

  • @Robbob9933 infiltrated by a once small and unknown type of terrorism, Eco-terror.

check some of my vids of an ECO-terror firebomb expert a lost of greenwash groups paid tons of money to keep out of prison and operating freely.

  • @nakazatoGTR Back when greenpiss was sane and known as Greenpeace their save the walse goal was a noble action. The insane chased the founders out this includes the ship captain on the "Whale Wars" show. He is rather cooky in my book but greenpissers are off the bleeping edge compared to him.
