if you add some oil such as coconut, sweet almond or jojoba it will prevent hardening. also to make mine fluffy and light i use aloe vera gel.

The only time it was too hard, is when I over-heated it and then tried to whip it. You need very little heat prior to whipping it if you want it to stay soft.

When using cookware, ad dishes you eat off daily, should you wash them as normal or designate them to making shea butter mixtures?

My African Shea butter is yellow and has a very strong smell of clay! Is that normal?
-
@Digikitty07 just add some pure coconut oil when your mixing it =)

This was great! I am actually in Ghana, right now and this is one of the places that produce shea butter. I hope to do a video soon while i am here, after i visit the people that make them in the village. I will also be bringing a lot back to sell, all natural. I have noticed that there is a need for it. Please, let me know if interested in buying raw shea butter and I will get it for you. kofi105@yahoo.com

@brainsNbeauty86 - I'm not sure. Perfume is alchohol based and I'm not sure how it would mix with the shea butter.

@kimoni6 - If you whip it to a whipped cream consistency, it never gets hard.
