One of the better renditions of the National Anthem that I can remember. This also was done just after the US started the bombardment to liberate Kuwait - Desert Storm (Arial assault began on January 17th). If I recall correctly, there was some discussion as to whether the Super Bowl should even be played. This rendition, along with the patriotic fervor at that time made this one of the most memorable ones of all time.

Wow! The most amazing part about that is how effortless she did that. A mega performance done with ease executed flawlessly...that's how the National Anthem ought to be sung.

How and hell does this "become the standard". With standards like this, the rest of us should just stay in bed. This is about as remote an outlier as you're likely to ever find. Just enjoy it.

Even if it is a recording, its still amazing. I dont know many artists who can sound like that in a studio.
