I'm a bit pan illiterate but I know what sounds good to the mind, body and soul and this is surely one of them. Sweeeet music Thanks to everyone who contributed to this piece. R.I.P Mr. C. Bradley.....
@Obe2525 ... damn those Italians for making music terminology harder for me! That being said, I think I said what I meant. I used monotonous to describe the bass from the original tune (Shadow's) or what Bradley had to work with. Monotonous is still the word for me there. Now, what Bradley did with that bass line, go ahead and feel free to fill in your favorite positive musical term of Italian origin :-)
@depannist I disagree with the term "monotonous" to describe the bass line. That implies that you don't like it. Ostinato would be the right musical term to define a repetitive or continuous bass line if thats what you meant.
One of the sweetest intro ever composed...and before you all hang me, I said 1 of the sweetest...only possible from the master! Listen to the intro....
@psychologistpannist ... the monotonous bass is a defining characteristic of the original tune. bradley gives you at least 4 variations of A monotonous bass line throughout, maintaining the theme of the song but still giving you sweet variations. the minor and the transition into it is untouchable. that's the master at work! but i agree it's no rebecca
that was one of the greats....but i wonder what happened to the guy that messed up in the song at
8 min and 55 second you can clearly hear that note was note supposed to be there and i heard that it cost them the competition that year...
