anyone who says its not about God is wrong. you're right that it's saying we're taking life for granted" but it doesn't just end there. This song talks about how so many people live their lives in ignorance without even searching for any form of higher power or after life. I know lot's of you will hate this comment because you yourselves are atheists but you will feel different when you're dying. And that's the whole idea of this song.

I disagree. I think this song is pointing out that people believe in God the most when they can't handle their lives. It doesn't mean God exists. It means God is the last resort attempt of our psychology to feel okay when trapped in a desperate situation.

Explain how your morality is based on logic.

I guess you saw what a huge mistake it was to say that truth is based on intuition and not logic. I assume that because you completely ignored my questions.

Love and musical tastes are preferences. They do not contain truth thus they are not subjects for a debate.

Morality is entirely based on logic and so is the universe. To say otherwise would be illogical. We just don't yet understand it completely. Lastly, there has been a lot of progress in Philosophy since Plato.

Do you use a logical equation to find love? Or to determine your taste in music? What in your mind gives you a sense of right and wrong? Are you ever moved by your gut feeling that something is not right? Our lack of knowledge, and the expanse of the unknown universe alone should give you a sense of humility and awe. Plato, one of the worlds greatest philosophers could not define temperance, yet you can determine the answer to a question that has plagued mankind since the dawn of our existence

Was your intuition on the cure of cancer? How do you intuit the speed of a car instead of looking at the logic based speedometer? Do you intuit that the underlying code that makes our conversation on here possible is correct? After all, the code works, thus it contains truth. But you say truth is not based on logic, then how does it work? Does it just intuit what we want to do? Machines have intuition?

Can you intuit that using what you think is my age as a counterargument is an ad hominem?

It is true. Truth is based on intuition, not logic. We only come to develop this intuition, or self awareness when we reach adulthood. And I don't consider anyone under 25 years old a self aware adult. Sorry.

Because really- logic and faith, are amazing opponents. Be fascinated by one another. Honestly I love people that don't believe in God, because they believe in something- and really, thats all that matters. And to the faithful- you use logic every day, so admire those that use logic over faith. And those that use logic and don't believe in god really do have faith. Its called confidence, taking a risk. <3 I could go on and on. But I won't. Lol. Have a good day

But to me- since I "believe" to me I know there is a God. So an argument between a christian and an atheist on this matter is absolutely pointless. Furthermore, it is better not to compete; its not about who is right- it's about what is right. What is right in this matter? Live and let live. It's cruel to try and take someones faith away from them over what you believe. And rude. But I am sure you are both good people. Just wanting the best for humanity. So- love one another, admire your enemy.

But it's certainly not arrogant to make a prediction of what my thoughts will be when I'm 30. You don't even know my thoughts now (I'm actually an agnostic) so how could you even claim to know what my thoughts will be in the future? Did Jesus tell you? If so, you might want to get tested for paranoid schizophrenia.

Your arrogance is only an indication of your ignorance. You may be an atheist from 17-24, but I doubt you will be one when your 30. God bless.
