I had this old P2 laptop someone gave me. It was awful so I figured I'd put an overly powerful magnet to its HDD (while defragmenting) and destroy its screen while it was still on.
I have 3 clips of the screen being wrecked but this is the most interesting one. Surprisingly the liquid doesn't spill out when the screen is cracked.

honestly i sort of forget since it was a while ago. if i remember correctly, i just hit it really hard in the center with some pliars.

  • That wasn't a magnet, that was his finger.

  • i used a magnet to the hard drive, which you can't see in this video. putting a magnet to an lcd screen doesn't really do anything, but poking it with my finger had some interesting effects

you stupid this happens all the time including to my computer which my cat fell on ):

  • Liquid wont spill out. Theres like 0.1mm think liquid that has the consistency of gel.

  • @schmidtbag HDDs are not effected by big magnets unless you dismantle them and rub the platters with the magnets.
