I've taken the photos on flickr and the sound files on audioboo from our day trip and put together this rough & ready rumination on how stories might emerge out of the landscape. It's also got me thinking about how 'developed' and 'finished' this kind of storytelling needs to be. I could spend a lot more time on this sequence but it just doesn't merit it. And you know what? There's something about simply plonking the photos against the sound in a very basic way that kinda works - and is better than adding transitions or developing some kind of 'interactive' path through this content.
Or am I just getting old & lazy? (Don't answer that)
I think this is splendid, and not just because I was there. You really capture that sense of excitement at coming to some kind of idea of how he put all this stuff together (and I can remember you getting excited, even when exhaustion was descending like estuary fog). Lovely stuff.
